Overview

Hive76 has a wide combination of equipment owned by members on loan, Hive owned equipment, and personal equipment at the space, but only for private use. To help manage what can be used by who, we have a sticker system.

Personal Tables and Boxes

Core members get a personal box, or a personal table space. It is reserved for their use only, and should be clearly labeled as "Barbra's Table Space" or "Tim's Box" or something else clear. This is reserved for that members use. This in that area are a members personal tools/equipment, and you must ask them before using them. Basic members get 1/2 of a storage box to use for their own storage. Again, things in those boxes are a members personal stuff, and you must ask before borrowing or using any of those things.

Just sitting around the space

Things just laying around are usually for anyone to use, unless they have a sticker on them.

Red stickers

A member should put these on items they bring in that should not be handled without permission.

Yellow Stickers

These stickers are for items that belong to a member, are for general use, but should not be disassembled or trashed.

Orange Stickers

Decorative only

Unmarked items

These are 'Guff' and should be considered fair game for any kind of use. Of course it looks expensive, someone might have just not labeled it. Use your best judgment, and ask on the discussion or members email list if you are not sure. For things like Paper Towels, please email [email protected] for a refill if you use the last of it.
